Friends play an important part in supporting the activities of the choir for an annual subscription of £20.00 per person or £30.00 per couple. The advantages include: *Automatic upgrade of tickets (two per couple). e.g. £15.00 seat upgraded to £20.00 seat. *Where tickets are uniform, price will be discounted. *Priority booking *Free programme with name acknowledgement. *Free glass of wine at our concerts where appropriate *Two newsletters a year keeping you informed of our events. *Invitations to our social functions To become a Friend, all you need to do is to email Sue O'Keeffe, Friends Secretary, or call her on 01449 673 625. The Chorale is keen to recruit experienced choral singers in all parts. There are most vacancies for tenors and second sopranos, fewer for basses, and a smaller number for capable altos and first sopranos. If you would like to see what singing in the choir is like, you can come to rehearsals without commitment for two or three weeks before applying to join. There is a short, friendly audition taken by Leslie Olive and one other member of the choir committee which will include some simple sight reading. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from September to July during term time at Combs Middle School, Stowmarket, from 7.30-9.30 pm.
